Roger Durham was a well-known supporter of gospel music throughout eastern North Carolina. He travelled many miles to see his favorite groups. His presence was always obvious because of his sometimes unorthodox outfits and his signature “Woop, woop!”

A celebration of his life was held at Harvest Fellowship in Goldsboro. Several speakers remembered many things about his life. Gospel music was provided by the English Family, Canaanland, the Social Security Boys, and the Rivenbarks.
